Malorie's Missive

Dear Electors,

My time is limited this week so I first want to apologise for the brevity of this message. I also want to apologise for my behaviour at the last meeting. I was upset at the result of the last indicative ballot, I know it may not seem it but I am not your adversary. I am doing all I can, truly. I don't think any of you that voted for the cat are brain-damaged, I think you are rightfully upset and annoyed. I do want to be more open with you but I understand if you don't believe me.

This vote is important to me, but it was no excuse to act the way I did.

I think you will all be glad to know that Galliano's win was honoured and I spoke to both him (and Ava), alongside the other winners (Bonaventura, Herla, and Edmund) about their wins. I do not doubt that they will keep their promises to share the information.

Yours in service,

Secretary Malorie

Upon closer inspection, this note has been graffiti-ed. The margins are decorated with cat doodles. One has a speech bubble that says “Pls don't vote for me! :(”

Other Notices

Despite receiving a significant majority in the preliminary election, Galliano (the cat) has been disqualified, indicating great disrespect for us electors as well as Galliano (the cat) himself. We have been invited here to participate in the election of a new Fate, but have been lied to and refused information we need to make this decision in good faith. With this notice, I formally request greater transparency from the staff and the palace itself, and request that any fellow electors mark their agreement here.

Electors in favour: One tally mark has been left at the bottom of the page

A colourful note, penned in a shaky hand.

I, Galliano the cat, wish to withdraw from the elections for Fate. Meow. Thank you for your consideration, but please direct your votes elsewhere. Meow.

Signed, GALLIANO
The note is signed with a paw print.
