Keep on lying 'til our lips turn blue? You're a liar So am I But your tales are wild and bright Dot the dark night with stars in the sky Through my nightmares hold me close and tight Stories like these never last long But while I've the chance I'll sing a new song I'll take your hand and lead you to dance It might just kill me but I'll take that chance It might just kill me but I'll take that chance You're a liar I don't care It wouldn't quite be fair Twisted tales and stories we share While my hands are wrapped in your hair Stories like these never last long But while I've the chance I'll sing a new song I'll take your hand and lead you to dance It might just kill me but I'll take that chance It might just kill me but I'll take that chance Clocks tick Days end Nights pass My friend, I wanna share them with you Bold claim Light laugh Strange trees Dirt path I wanna walk it with you Days tick Days end Days pass My friend, I wanna share them with you Bold claim Light laugh Dark trees No path Will you hold me as I turn cold and blue? Stories like these never last long But while I've the chance I'll sing a new song I'll take your hand and lead you to dance It might just kill me, but I'll take that chance Though it'll kill me, it's worth one last dance **The Artist** Who gave me these bright eyes? Who gave me this wide smile? You, that was you Who gave me the time of day? Who always gave me my way? You, that was you And now you'll never see what you built Now you'll never see what you killed Now you'll never see me dancing in the rain Now you'll never see what came true Growing from these parts of you Now you'll never see me Laughing through the pain Your pain Who gave me this tiny life? Who made me a hopeful wife? You, that was you Who never said goodbye? Who'd I leave alone to die? Oh God, that was you And now you'll never see what you built Now you'll never see what you killed Now you'll never see me dancing in the rain Now you'll never see what came true Growing from these parts of you Now you'll never see me Laughing through the pain Your pain Your pain Your pain Forgive me if I don't cry Forgive me if it takes some time But something's shining bright The future's green and blue and red and bustling and busy and beautiful and wide //Written by Iona B// ===== A new path ===== While you may have succeeded in changing your own perspectives, sometimes what really hurts is when we cannot change others. The comfort of your manor is gone. Overshadowed by grief and the judgement of your father. You thought the anticipation of your arrival would sway his opinion, but it did not. The familiar look of judgement as you hold Maya’s hand, your blue lips stained purple. You attempt to stay for a while. You attempt to change his mind. You fail time and time again–//how could you// he would say, as he frantically paced up and down the halls. //Do you know what this will do to our family?// Soon though, and with Maya’s help, you decide to leave. Grabbing valuables and your Mother’s drawings before leaving. You hear your father cry for you. His anger only spurs you further, because just like Percival showed you, pain comes from trying to hide your true self. You travel to Itascrius first, then the other nations not long after. You see nations rebuilding as the power of fate crumbles. You head back to the Collegium, you find the stories locked away. The ones people were scared to tell. The ones that told people how Fates used to be, how the original fate ran away,, potentiality. You give people something new to learn. Not just the potentiality, or the old stories– you tell them that fate doesn’t define anyone. You find books about your family. You find out it wasn’t a curse. You look at the passionate love all these women had, and it pains you not to run back to your father and beg him to listen to you. But you don’t need him to listen to you. You have a new journey for yourself now. And most importantly, Maya follows you every step of the way. rowan_sorrell_eternity.txt Last modified: 2025/06/17 15:18by gm_rei
