**About**: Shining eyes meet your own. Footsteps, quick and determined. An open-mouthed laugh, no discernible prompt, and a hand extending to take your own. Through a gentle curtsey, perfectly polite without a hint of deference, comes a flurry of conversation approximating a greeting.

Maya is no small personality; as much is evident in the first moments of your meeting. Her words are colourful, all fervour and gesticulation, though not entirely without poise. At points, her presence can border on unsettling, but to place a finger on why would be a nebulous task – merely a slight sense of… otherness, perhaps? Of obfuscation, beyond that of the typical Itascrian storyteller.

No matter. Between the tumbling curls of ginger-tinged blonde and the pointed ears poking through them, Maya is not exactly difficult to keep an eye on. And, between the dubiously truthful anecdotes recalled at frankly concerning volumes and a habit of taking the metaphorical centre stage at the drop of a hat, neither is she easy to ignore.
