====== Malorie's Missive ====== Dear Electors, Much has happened in the Palace in the last few days. I implore you all to be careful. The death of Dot Upland weighs heavily on myself. Do not take risk, be vigilant, look out for each other. I am worried about you all. Please stay inside and stay cautious. I will begin with the lighter news. Today's meeting will be another indicative ballot. While these ballots are not binding, I ask you to take it seriously. We must be approaching the actual ballot and I wish, and I assume many of you also, wish to understand who it is who wants to run. There has been two fires over the past few days: one in the brambles, and one in a bedroom. Two guests have been injured. I do not know the circumstances around these fires but I want to reiterate my previous message - be careful. Intentionally or unintentionally, please avoid starting fires or otherwise damaging the Palace or its grounds. We will leave here, I promise you that. The brambles are ever closer but do not worry, everything will be fine. Finally I want to report that Sir Edmund is missing and that the horse of a guest is deceased. If you have any information regarding either of these events, please let me or any of the other Palace Staff know. Yours in service, Malorie ====== Other Notices ====== ==== Autopsy Report ==== //[Gore warning applies to subsequent text.]// ---- I, Dr Lisa Atropius, think it's only right for the results of my research into this shocking death to be made public. My sincerest thanks to Magnus and Georg for their invaluable collaboration. Below, I'm attachin' a summary of our discoveries. Mr Dot Upland was killed at approximately 21:07 by massive blunt force trauma. We're fortunate that we had such widespread eyewitness testimony, because establishing time of death from the body itself was... well, challenging. For those of you without much medical knowledge, we'd normally use decay signs to tell how fresh a body is. None of that here -- nothing of the sort. Like he's suspended in time. Saves us some gore, I s'pose... On that note, the victim seemed to have experienced much more blood loss than there was proof of, strictly speaking. I don't think we can all have imagined that blood creepin' under the door, but there wasn't nearly as much by the time I arrived. Cause of death itself was clear though: fatal shattering of the skull. Far as I could tell from body positioning, it was among the last impacts he suffered. Matched almost perfectly with the edges of his manifestation. I'd call it ironic, but I think prescient's the word. As for the manifestation, it seems to have receded pretty sharpish after death, which is what I've observed plenty before. Manner of death was somewhat atypical. Severe crushing and laceration, sure, though the wound patterns weren't what I'd expect from blunt force inflicted by stone. Most of them were normal, but some were too soft round the edges and others much smaller and sharper. I won't speculate too much here -- best to keep this a straightforward read. More to the point, the state of this body urgently shifts my focus to the second one we //know// is somewhere in this Palace. I think an autopsy of Our Lady The Weaver is absolutely //essential// and I demand the Staff stand back and allow one. Not only does precedent imply she'll be preserved enough for this to be possible, the circumstances with Mister Pompilius and his Palace are suspicious enough that I think we //deserve// answers. I stand with all those askin' for greater transparency and removal of institutional silencing and obstruction. //-- Dr. Lisa Atropius, M.D, Ph.D//
